How Strong are Modular Homes?
Modular homes are designed and built to meet or exceed the local building Code loads, such as snow loads, wind loads, and seismic load. On top of that, modular home has to be strong enough to withstand the resulting stress from transportation and crane lifting during installation on site.
We add more joists, beams, bolts and hardware, such as steel straps to the modular homes than we would otherwise use in site-built homes. As such, you are getting a stronger home when you buy modular.
