Taco Bell Shipping Container Restaurant – Michigan

Sustainable-Shipping-Cargo-Container

Taco Bell, a company well known for their slogan of “Live Más”, has certainly done more with their new Shipping Container Restaurant in Shelby Township, Michigan.

This 1,850 Square Foot shipping container structure fabricated on-site with four 40’ high cube cargo containers and a cantilevered 20’ cargo container on the roof blended with light-framed construction. These innovations in sustainable structural engineering make one of Taco Bell’s newest restaurants looks steal the show from its surroundings. Brightly colored art contrasts to the black shipping containers in a way that pulls people in, only to be surrounded by large windows in the dining area that provide a transparent and warm feel. Perfect setting for enjoying life and food.

This is the second shipping container restaurant built by Taco Bell, joining the first which opened three years ago in South Gate, California. We can’t wait to see other restaurants follow in their footsteps.

PSE Consulting Engineers was brought in late in the game, but we blended well with the team and gave them economic solutions and a fast turnaround time. We joined the famed RADLAB team, whom specializes in shipping container structures, to bring this unique restaurant to life and provide the client with a structure that will impress all that see it.

If you’re wanting to visit this Taco Bell location, you’ll find it at 50835 Van Dyke Avenue, Shelby Charter Township, MI 48317.
