Project Spotlight: Liberty Park Village

PSE Consulting Engineers is proud to have played a key role in the design and engineering of the Liberty Park Veterans Village, a thoughtfully planned community providing safe, affordable housing for U.S. veterans. From the beginning, the project’s vision centered on safety, comfort, and community connection. Many residents may be living with PTSD or other mental health challenges, so the design team approached every element through a human-centered design perspective.

The two-building layout forms a welcoming central courtyard where eight one-bedroom homes open onto well-lit walkways. Each residence features a front entrance with a half wall, offering residents the ability to observe their surroundings and engage at their own pace. The courtyard encourages daily interaction and fosters a strong sense of belonging among residents.
