Accountant/Bookkeeper/Office Assistant- Klamath Falls, Oregon

PSE Consulting Engineers, Inc. is looking for an accountant/bookkeeper/office assistant at our Klamath Falls office.

The opportunity:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Account receivable and payable, payroll, tax deposits, balance sheet, general accounting, and bookkeeping
  • General ledger and preparation of basic financial reports
  • Reconciliations and audits
  • Prepares accounting statements and reports; analyzes financial reports and records
  • Make recommendations relative to procedures and the accounting of assets, reserves, etc.
  • Office manager and secretarial duties, such as but not limited to: typing, data entry, database maintenance, filing, customer service, etc.

Desired Education and Skills:

  • Self-motivated accountant with a minimum of 3 years’ experience with QuickBooks software
  • QuickBooks certification
  • Fluent with Excel spreadsheets, MS Word, and accounting
  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent verbal, writing, and people skills;
  • Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of accounting, as well as the items listed under “Duties” above, is required.
  • A two-year degree in accounting, a bachelor’s degree in accounting, or five years’ experience in accounting will be considered.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with the above skills is preferred; however, entry-level will be considered for the right candidate.

Civil/Structural Engineer (Junior)

PSE Consulting Engineers, Inc. seeks to hire a Civil/Structural Engineer (Junior) to work full time at our office in Klamath Falls, Oregon. This position is responsible for: analyzing steel and concrete structures using appropriate software; ensuring analysis and design are code compliant; preparing necessary calculations for various structural elements; preparing and reviewing structural drawings; performing independent analysis and design of structure’s members; performing field inspection to ensure project executions complies with engineering analysis; and consulting with clients to understand their needs and address them accordingly.

Home Designer - Klamath Falls, Oregon

PSE Consulting Engineers, Inc. is looking for a home designer to perform all phases of work including planning and designing. You will be involved in new building designs, extensions, alterations, restorations, and conservations from the earliest stages through to completion. The goal is to match clients needs and to produce sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Responsibilities

  • Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
  • Take the “brief” to identify clients’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals
  • Develop ideas keeping in mind client’s needs, building’s usage and environmental impact
  • Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections
  • Compile project specifications
  • Meet budgets and timelines
  • Ensure that all work is carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
  • On-site visits to check on project status and report on project
  • Understanding of comprehensive building design, fire and life safety analysis, building envelope technology,
  • Cooperate and liaise with construction professionals
  • Follow home design trends and advancements

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a home designer
  • Strong portfolio to prove artistic skills
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Chief Architect & AutoCad or similar)
  • Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
  • Visual awareness and an eye for detail
  • Communication and project management skills
  • Minimum 1-2 Years of Experience with Chief Architect

The Branch Manager will be responsible for all operations of an independent office with team support from the home office as needed. Of course structural engineering, calculations, detailing, and client interaction are an emphasis of this position, but overall operations of this office will be paramount. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Layout of structural systems for vertical and lateral loads
  • Marketing
  • Client related management
  • Budgeting and cost control
