Architectural Designer

PSE Consulting Engineers, Inc. is looking for an architectural designer to perform all phases of architectural work including planning and designing. You will be involved in new building designs, extensions, alterations, restorations, and conservation’s from the earliest stages through to completion. The goal is to match client’s needs and to produce sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing designs.

Responsibilities

  • Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
  • Take the “brief” to identify clients’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals
  • Develop ideas keeping in mind client’s needs, building’s usage and environmental impact
  • Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections
  • Compile project specifications
  • Meet budgets and timelines
  • Ensure that all work is carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
  • On site visits to check on project status and report on project
  • Understanding of comprehensive building design, fire and life safety analysis, building envelope technology,
  • Cooperate and liaise with construction professionals
  • Follow architectural trends and advancements

Requirements

  • Proven working experience as a home designer
  • Strong portfolio to prove artistic skills
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Chief Architect & AutoCad or similar)
  • Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
  • Visual awareness and an eye for detail
  • Communication and project management skills
  • Minimum 1-2 Years of Experience with Chief Architect

Accountant/Full Service Bookkeeper

PSE Consulting Engineers is looking for self-motivated accountant with experience in Quick Books software, Excel Spread sheet, MS Word, and Accounting. Must be detail oriented and have excellent verbal, writing and people skills. Come and grow with us and enjoy Southern Oregon’s outstanding outdoor activities. Duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Execute daily, weekly and monthly accounting activities.
  • Account receivable, balance sheet, cash flow General accounting and, Book keeping;
  • General ledger and preparation of basic financial reports.
  • Prepares accounting statements and reports; analyze financial reports and records.
  • Makes recommendations relative to procedures and the accounting of assets, reserves, etc.
  • Generate, reviews and verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications.
  • Secretarial duties such as but, not limited to typing, data Entry Database Maintenance, Filing, Customer Service, etc.
Education:
  • Requires the equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or two-year degree in Accounting and good experience will be considered.
Experience:
  • Knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of accounting and the items listed under “Duties” above is required.
  • Two years of experience with the above skills is preferred, however entry level will be considered for the right candidate.
  • Experience creating spreadsheets & formulas with Excel

Essential duties and skills:

  • Your primary duty will be to bring your and your team’s projects to successful completion. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Analyze structures using various structural engineering software;
    • Prepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials;
  • Provide leadership, project organization, and project review to a team of 4-6 engineers;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks;
    • Forward thinking attitude with the ability to problem solve, be resourceful and solution savvy;
  • Competence using different varieties of engineering software and thorough understanding of the Building Codes;
  • Manage client interactions and communications.

 

Required education and experience:

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering and PE license are required, MSCE preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in residential and commercial buildings analysis, design and detailing. At least 2+ years in a leadership role.

Manager will be responsible for all operations of an independent office with team support from the home office as needed.
