WORK EXPERIENCE
Precision Structural Engineering Engineering Technician
March 2002 – Present
Working under the supervision of a licensed engineer, I develop the structural design of mostly residential structures commonly beginning from architectural drawings. The typical tasks I complete during the design process include; creating job proposal and budget, developing framing plans, lateral (Wind & Seismic) analysis and design, vertical and horizontal member design, foundation design and development of detail drawings. Most significantly, my life experience in the construction industry allows me to develop structural designs that not only meet code requirements (IBC & UBC) but are actually buildable by those in the construction industries.
