ENGINEERING JOB DUTIES:

Your primary duty will be to bring your project to successful completion with limited guidance from the engineering manager. This includes but is not limited to:

• Calculate structural loads according to the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code , UBC and other Codes;

• Analyze structures using various structural engineering software;

• Prepare structural calculations and details of structural elements for various materials.

• Field inspection and consultation with client at the direction of the manager.

• Project administration duties and general duties as assigned by the manager.

• Light duty AutoCAD. We have full time AutoCAD drafters.

 

ADDITIONAL DUTIES FOR THE BRANCH MANAGER:

Manager will be responsible for all operations of an independent office with team support from the home office as needed.

Of course structural engineering, calculations, detailing, and client interaction are an emphasis of this position, but overall operations of this office will be paramount.

This includes but is not limited to:

• Layout of structural systems for vertical and lateral loads.

• Marketing.

• Client related management.

• Budgeting and cost control.

Common practicality, good sense, and hard work could propel this manager into unlimited possibilities.

JOB REQUIREMENT FOR ENGINEERS:

Education : B.S. in Civil Engineering (as a minimum)

Experience :

Branch Manager/Structural Engineer - (5-10) years experience in residential and commercial buildings analysis, design and detailing is required.

Entry Level Designer/Structural Engineer - (0-4) years experience.

License:

Branch Manager/Structural Engineer - P.E. required

Entry Level Design/Structural Engineer - E.I.T. required

Software:

Experience with at least one commercially available

structural analysis software such as RISA, STAAD,

ANSIS or SAAP is required.

DESIGN BUDGET:

Please note that for each project, you or the company manager will estimate a budget including the number of hours to be used for design. We do expect that you will stay within this budget.

Additional policies applicable to your employment will be set out In the Company's employee manual and other manuals, please check with the Company President.
